Who We Are

Rebekah Brettle : Founder

Rebekah is married to Carl and mother to Reuben.  She works as a part time GP.  She lives in Neath, South Wales.  Her work for Neighbourhood Prayer Network is voluntary. She first had part of the vision for Neighbourhood Prayer Network when she was nine years old, staring out of her bedroom window. She became an atheist at 14, but had a dramatic encounter with God aged nineteen that she couldn't dismiss. From 19 to 26 after years of visiting different churches and exploring other faiths, she finally became a Christian on Alpha course at 26 years of age. She has a passion to see greater unity in the church and an end to loneliness and isolation, felt by so many people.

Carl Brettle : CEO

With 25 years full time service in Christian Ministry, extensive missions work (over 220 trips to 45 countries), has worked on over 300 projects including: 1 Million Hours of Prayer for Wales, Prayer Week, Sporting Marvels, Prayer Magazine, Looking for God, 100m National Day of Prayer and Worship, 100m and. Between 2008 and 2015 Carl worked for UCB initially as Prayer Coordinator, then Ministry Director and before leaving Operations Director.

Now living back in his home country of Wales, Carl is working on fewer projects to focus on Neighbourhood Prayer Network - to find 260,000 Christians who will take spiritual responsibility for the street, they live on.

Adam May : Director of PR & Communications

Adam is a Ministry Development Consultant, with over 10 years experience of liaising with a range of media outlets and speaking as a social affairs commentator in his own right.

In the past, Adam has worked for a national Christian charity as its Development Director and served on a strategic working group advising the Government on issues of faith engagement.

Adam is passionate about prayer as well as seeing Christian organisation not simply responding to the news, but making it with great news stories!  Adam lives in a small village in Bedfordshire with his wife, Becky and two children. When Adam is alone at home, he enjoys singing loudly in the shower!

Lisa Hutt : Director of Prayer Ministry

Lisa is the longest serving staff member of NPN.  With a natural gift of communicating with and following up people, Lisa does a fantastic job networking across the UK.  Her current focus is developing London Loop, which in 2018 saw all 150 miles of the walking route around London being completed as a Prayer Walk.

Gareth Killa : Operations & Church Liaison Manager

Having over 35 years of bank management experience, Gareth navigates accounting, compliance and policy issues with ease.

His salvation came through persistent prayer from his wife Beverly and the miraculous release of arthritis in 1998.

Gareth's passion outside of day to day activities is to undertake short term missions and leadership training in remote countries.  This passion has taken him to Botswana, Uganda, Ethiopia and more recently Nepal.

Racheal Fola : A Mile with Jesus Project Coordinator

A dedicated Intercessor Racheal came to NPN and within months had a clear vision to develop a prayer walking project called 'A Mile with Jesus'.  Literally to prayer walk a mile with Jesus around your community.  Neighbourhood Prayer Network launched the project in 2015 and thousands of streets and tens of thousands of miles have been prayer walked so far.  We aim to see 'a Mile with Jesus' become part of the Christian calendar across the UK.
