Who We Are

Rebekah Brettle

Rebekah Brettle: Executive Director (CEO)

Rebekah is a retired GP, leaving Medicine to puruse the vision of Neighbourhood Prayer Network. She was a GP for 8 years.  She lives in Manchester, though her husband Carl Brettle considers himself a Welsh missionary to England! She has a young son who is nearly two years old. Most of Rebekah's work for Neighbourhood Prayer Network is currently voluntary. She first had part of the vision for Neighbourhood Prayer Network when she was nine years old, staring out of her bedroom window. She became an atheist at 14, but had a dramatic encounter with God aged nineteen that she couldn't dismiss. From 19 to 26 after years of visiting different churches and exploring other faiths, she finally became a Christian on Alpha course at 26 years of age. She has a passion to see greater unity in the church and an end to loneliness and isolation, felt by so many people.
